The original Alamo closes down on Wednesday, and in honor of this, Cinema is Dope is hosting the "Alamo Downtown Blog-a-Thon".  They're asking folks everywhere to post their favorite stories, memories or photos from the Alamo Downtown.  I thought I'd pitch in my favorite posts about the Alamo:

1. The impromptu singalong at A Hard Day's Night + the Eggmen in 2002.
2. Seeing Serenity at the Alamo (okay, technically not downtown) in 2005.
3. A somewhat-fictionalized account of the Arrested Development season-three release party in 2006.
