For a while, I had an account on consumating, a social networking site that has since closed down. Every week they'd have a question-of-the-week for people to answer, and users could pose their own questions for the community.
I was going through some old text files, and found I'd composed a reply to the question "What TV show would you write yourself into, and what role would you play?" -- but I'd never posted it.
Oh, I would so write myself into Arrested Development.
So, I would be an investigator for the SEC. And let's face it, if I worked for the SEC, I would be all kinds of bitter, and probably delight in being something of a bastard. I mean, the show never really had a moustache-twirling villain to oppose the family.
I figure I'd be one of those guest stars who appear in three or four episodes, and I could be played by some cool TV actor who's slightly out of the limelight. (Kevin McDonald, maybe? It'd be fun to hear him affect a sardonic Kentucky drawl.)
Example Episode: "SEC's Appeal"
hujhax picks up Blendin's collection of George-Michael's drawings, which includes a sketch of George, Sr.'s hideaway in Cabo.
In the 'on the next...' segment, I get taken off the Bluth case, and sent off to investigate Halliburton. (See? A happy ending for everybody.)
I'm paraphrasing, because I don't remember the exact question.
