This week was a carbon-copy of last week. It's probably a carbon copy of next week as well.
A lot of little things went well. The first session of the TV-writing class was pleasant enough. I saw a good movie, a good play, and a good improv show. I posted a song and a script.
Apart from that, things were 'meh'. I went dancing a few times, but that was pretty much a waste of time. I tried going to the latest improv mixer, but only a smattering of people showed up. When I was at home, I just ran dull little errands. Laundry. Housecleaning. Groceries. Haircut. Ordered a rice cooker. Sold stuff on ebay. Uploaded 1,300 photos to flickr. Dull, dull, dull.
The coming week looks okay. Tonight I hole up at home to write my next Sketchwar entry. There are a couple of screenwriter meetings, and those are always nice. I could go to the Fed tomorrow if I'm in a stove-touchy sort of mood. Other than that? Bupkus. Maybe I'll drag myself out to Micetro; maybe I'll finally see Coraline in 3D; odds are I'll just stay home and cook hummus or something.
The TV-show title "MacGyver" has insinuated its way into several languages. In Korean, Swiss Army knives are called "Maekgaibeo kal," and the Malay phrase for "pocket knife" is "pisau MacGyver". In Norway and parts of Finland, duct tape is sometimes called "MacGyver tape." (Source: the MacGyver wiki.)
