May feels like it was short periods of fun separated by long periods of illness.
At the start of the month, I recovered from a nasty cold just in time to visit Chicago. Nominally I was going to Chicago for a dance event, but I mainly just visited old friends.
After that? Bronchitis. A good, long week of puttering around the house coughing up colorful goo.
Once that went away, I traipsed off to some event or other nearly every night. I went to a bunch of blues dances. I performed in a long-form improv show for the first time. I even went on a couple of dates.
So that's how life was for a couple of weeks. Then I got sick (yet) again, which has led to yet another week of lying around in bed, coughing and being feverish.
Other bits of bad news: I didn't write anything longer than three pages, and I scraped a truck to the tune of $1,500 worth of damage.
If I can ever kick this latest illness (which currently seems impossible), June should be pretty pleasant. There are plays to see and dances to attend and improv shows to perform. I doubt I'll really accomplish anything this month, but it'll be nice to be not-sick for a while.
p. s. Yesterday was my birthday. If you haven't yet, ALL MUST SEND BIRTHDAY GREETINGS.
For some reason, this seems to be 'chicks dig Peter' month. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
