Folks might recall that May was dominated by the play -- four performances a week, rehearsals besides, and really no room for anything else. We finished our run at the end of the month, and I spent a weekend dancing in San Francisco. Then I tidied up my apartment, dusted off my guitar, and looked forward to resuming my quiet, normal life.
Then I came down with mono.
To be fair, it might not have been mono. All I know is that I was feverish and bedridden for a week, and I had a variety of exciting flu symptoms for two weeks afterwards, putting me out of commission for most of the month. Right now I'm taking it easy; there's a big dance weekend coming up, and the last thing I need is some kind of relapse.
Assuming my delicate health doesn't collapse in the next few days, the dance weekend should be fun. Shortly after that, I have foot surgery (again), so I'll be housebound for a while (again) and the month will be quiet and dull.
