Well, this week was Christmas, and there isn't much to say about it. I had the day off for Christmas Eve, and spent the whole day running errands: ordered a bunch of stuff online, cleaned the car, cleaned the apartmet, et cetera. Then it was off to Louisville for four days. I spent most of that time playing Platform Racing 2 while my family watched TV.
I spent Monday recovering from the trip: unpacking, laundry-ing, and then sleeping for twelve hours.
Last night I went to the Same Year's Eve party, which was a lot of fun. About sixty improvisors showed up, and we put on a triple-bill show. I was in the third group, 18 of us who put on an improvised long-form musical. I hung out at the party for a while afterwards, chatting with improv peeps I hadn't seen in a while. I was happy with my contribution to the show, and I felt really included at the party. Warm fuzzies all 'round.
Anyway, this week I finish up the damn holidays and get back to real life, thank god. I suppose I'll wander around downtown taking in artsy First Night stuff tonight. Tomorrow will be another day off, ergo another day of errands. Then we're into January, and back to my regularly-scheduled reading & writing & music. Again: thank god.
