Wednesday (12/16/09) 8:57am - ... wherein Peter is sick.
I managed to come down with some sort of cold yesterday. It's not that bad of a cold -- mostly just a runny nose and a sore throat -- but it's enough to keep me sitting at home and taking it easy. I suspect it's the same bug that's been going around the improv scene.
I'm amused that I came down with this the day after I finished the first draft of my spec pilot. It reminds me of college, where you'd stay healthy just long enough to get through finals, and then come down with something right after you finish the last one.
Anyway, I still plan to soldier through the KOOP interview today. (All hail the power of Sucrets lozenges and Afrin nasal spray.) Unless I feel miraculously recovered, I don't think I'll make it to the "One More Night" rehearsal, which makes me v. sad. :(
Peter, have you ever thought about doing a monthly Sketchwar live show? Announcing a topic and giving people a month to film or practice and then perform their sketch, with the audience voting on their favorite?
It's an interesting thought (and could probably be done in conjunction with No Shame), but I dunno. I never could get anybody in town to participate in the weekly writing group, so I have low hopes for garnering participation in anything more involved.
