Howdy KOOP listeners --
Here's some more information about the stuff we discussed on the 12/16/09 episode of "Writing on the Air".
Sketchwar is an online weekly sketch-writing group. Every week, participants write comedy sketches about that week's topic; at the end of the week, we read each other's sketches, comment, and perhaps bicker about who wrote the best sketch that week. If you're interested in participating, this page has information about how to throw a sketch into the ring, as well as the schedule of upcoming topics (this week's topic is "Victorian England"; next week's topic is "The End of the World").
This Saturday at 8pm, I'll be appearing in Charles Dickens Unleashed: Improvised Tales of Bleak Victorian England. The show runs 6pm & 8pm this Saturday, and 6pm & 8pm next Saturday. It's at the Hideout Theatre and tickets are $10. For more information, click here.
At the end of January, I'll be appearing in One More Night, an improv show based on the Arabian Nights. It will run on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm at the Salvage Vanguard Theater, from January 22nd to February 13th. There's no website for the show yet, but there is some discussion of it here.
