I am told Dubbed Indemnity was a rousing success last night! Lots of people came up to me at the Dusk party to tell me what a great job I'd done as curator, and I happily accepted credit that was no doubt owed instead to the phenomenal cast. My favorite was when people complimented me on my sequencing and shape-of-show -- really, people, I just put the clips in chronological order. Seriously, apart from knowing I wanted to finish on a Glee number, that's it.
Also, Roy managed to record the audio of the entire show! So hopefully I can get that from him, sync it with the DVD video track, and experience the show for myself. (I was instead at the Dusk premiere last night, continuing the proud tradition of "people who put together a Friday-night show at the Hideout don't actually show up to watch it".) In the meantime, Roy has already started putting up video clips from the program.
Anyway, now that I've done this the first time, subsequent times should be much less painful. (That's what she said.) Dubbed Indemnity is off for the next couple of months, so hopefully I can spend that time slowly accruing new TV clips to inflict on another all-star improv team. I figure I will occasionally put out requests to borrow DVDs, and instead of listing the show title in my tweet, I'll just include an imdb link. That way, people who are likely to be in the cast of Dubbed Indemnity, and who don't want to know what might be coming, can stay unspoiled.
Thank you, everybody who helped me out with this. I owe you. I was doing something new and difficult, and I couldn't have done it alone.
